This is a calendar of upcoming pervasive games around the world - both individual games, and larger, organised events. If you're planning to run a game in your area, in whatever context, you're welcome to add it to the list with a date, time and location. (If you want some advice for running your own gaming event, we've got a Sandpit howto and a smaller event howto.)

There's an archive of past events, if you want to see what you've missed.

January 2009

Tuesday 27th

7:30pm onwards at the Pervasive Media Studio
The Interesting Games Lab returns to the streets of Bristol for 2009, with "the future of pervasive computing", the new game of CARGO from Simon and Simon, and some mulled cider.
More details on the Iglab blog.

Sometime Late January

  • Pervasive game meet-up in Birmingham, England
Date, time and place yet to be confirmed (probably late Jan, almost certainly weekend or evening, inevitably in a pub), but it looks like we're reaching enough of a critical mass to have a pervasive meet-up in Birmingham, UK.
If you're interested in getting involved, let us know either via the comments on this page or send Nikki an email via the contact form towards the bottom of this page.
As we get an idea of what numbers and interests we're catering for, we can arrange an appropriate venue etc.

February 2009

Wednesday 18th

February's Sandpit will be taking place at the ICA, on the evening of the 18th. Scheduling is still in progress - if you've got a game you'd like to run, or if you'd like to help out with anything, drop the Sandpit team a line at hello@hideandseekfest.co.uk.

March 2009

Saturday 7th

The Sandpit will be at the Barbican for March. Again, the evening is still being scheduled - email the Sandpit team if you'd be interested in running something.
