Ben McKenzie is a performer, writer and game designer based in Melbourne, Australia. His live games were primarily designed and run with his company Pop Up Playground, for whom he was the Game Mechanic, or head game designer. Now that the company has closed down, he intends to write up a few of the more successful games for this site. Pop Up Playground also ran two games festivals: This is a Door for indoor games, and Fresh Air for outdoor games.
