We (No Hidden Meaning) played Shadowsurfing at [ play:vienna] Festival on Sunday, 9th of September, 2012. With around 20 participants who surfed through viennas inner city, it was great fun for everyone.

After a test session, we adjusted & clarified the rules a bit, here ist the ruleset that was given out to the players:

The goal of the game is to get from Start to Finish as qickly as possible.
You may only move if you are following a pedestrian in a distance of 1-3 meters.
More players may follow one pedestrian, but if they do, they have to go behind one another in single file.
If the pedestrian you are following moves in a direction that is unfavorable to you, you may stop and wait for another pedestrian to follow.
If the person you are following turns around or even adresses you, you must stop and wait for another pedestrian to follow.
If you have the feeling that the person you are following is uncomfortable (e.g. he/she increases the pace to put more distance between you and him/her), please stop. We want to play, not to stalk people!
If you have to stop on the street or at a crosswalk, you may return to the last safe sidewalk you were on.
You may follow cars and bikes – if you can keep in the 1-3 Meter radius.
