Two delegations at an international conference must interpret statements made by an ambassador from Zembla, through an interpreter who is working for the other team.

== Rules ==

An important international conference is debating an international treaty. The tiny country of Zembla has the casting vote. The players are divided into two teams representing different countries who are trying to influence Zembla to vote in their favour.

The Zemblan ambassador makes a series of statements, while an interpreter from the opposing team interprets. The interpretor is given the text of the speech in Zemblan and English, plus instructions telling them either to give a correct translation, or to lie about the meaning of the speech.

After each statement, both teams vote on a motion which will affect Zembla. They should try to vote for what they think the Zemblan ambassador was asking for.

After each statement, the interpreter returns to their team and is replaced by a new interpreter.

Overall, both sides should have to lie an equal number of times. Sometimes the interpreter should have no translation at all and be forced to make up the speech entirely.

Repeat for several statements - the country which correctly gives Zembla what it wants the most times wins.
