Any ideas for variants for this? I came up with a simple "weapon" system today - if you pass certain pre-decided bits of scenery ("vehicles and shopfronts that might contain a useful weapon" seemed to work), you gain a weapon which you can use to take out one zombie. It instantly added more depth to it - within ten minutes I happened across a couple of police cars parked on the other side of a busy street, but with a lot of shoppers using that pavement.

Could maybe go for a two-hit "life" system, with a way to restore your life if you can find the right scenery before another zombie gets you. And was thinking about something that lets you walk through the zombie horde without them noticing you, for a limited period of time, but couldn't think of anything to tie it to thematically.

Any thoughts? --Kevan (talk) 2010-12-15 18:46:16

I have put together my own version of this game. I call it "Open Zombie World" and it is meant to be an open public experience. The rules are... a bit more complex then the original... Due to the complexity, I'm going to make it a new page, and link back. I'll post a link here when it is done.

EDIT: It's up. http://ludocity.org/wiki/Open_Zombie_World --qwertyu63 (talk) 2013-03-10 20:35:39

Nice to see a spinoff. I like the idea of a game where you win by finding other people who are playing it, and that fits the genre perfectly. --Kevan (talk) 2013-03-11 18:17:41
