This game was commissioned by Cardinal Wiseman College, Coventry as part of their Flexible Learning Day centred on Science and Creative Writing.

The game will be run in 4 different sessions, each with 60 Year 8 pupils. There are various learning objectives that have to be addressed, so I'm aiming for a game to last about 20 minutes, after which we'll reconvene, discuss the ideas in it and identify different variable we can change to see what affect they have. Then we'll run the game for a second time before changing groups.

First iterations of the rule-set will be written with a school setting in mind (eg limitations on speed, contact and disappearing off out of sight!), but I'd be interested to see how this can be adapted for the usual pervasive game style events.

We won't get a chance to playtest before the 30th of April, which is when we do the day in school. I'd be grateful for any thoughts on where to pitch things like scoring to get some interesting dynamics. --genzaichi (talk) 2010-04-17 11:13:30
