Tourist photography as a competitive sport. The players are gangs of tourists getting on each other's way of a good picture.

[edit] Game Set-up
You need a Monument - a building, structure, or other object that's large and recognizable. Suggestions: An ornate lamppost; a phone booth; a fountain; a hot dog stand; a couch; a fridge.
Divide the players in teams of roughly 5 (if possible given the number of players) and arrange a camera for each team.
[edit] The Game
The purpose of each team is to take a picture with all team members in it (except the one using the camera) fully visible and the Monument fully visible, with no members of other teams in the picture.
[edit] How to play
- Set a period of time, say, 20 or 30 minutes.
- The teams can scatter and plan as they please.
- Once time is done, each team presents their best picture. The picture with most team members in it (or least missing members, if teams have different sizes) wins.
[edit] Points of etiquette
- Don't shove. That's rude.
[edit] Possible Variations
- Make it ok to have people from other teams in the picture, provided they're not more evident than the Monument or your own team members.
- Cordon off the area closest to the Monument so people will not abuse positions close to it.
- The original idea involved colored objects being moved around the Monument and photographed instead of people. Could be made into an Icehouse game?
