Setup

Give each player a light-sensitive widget to attach to their shoes. If it's hit by light it'll switch off its 'alive' LED

Position everyone on the dancefloor.

Start the music, and the lights.

Play

The lighting operator sweeps the dancefloor with a variety of lighting effects. Players need to avoid them while maintaining maximum dancefloor style. The roaming referee hands out spot prizes for style, and spot disqualifications for extreme lack of style like hiding the sensor.

The lighting effects can get progressively more impressive and vindictive.

Last person 'alive' wins.

Work To Do

Designed as an after-game party game.

Bonus points if we can install custom templates to the spotlights, so instead of abstract shapes they're huge spiky knives / monsters / etc.

The sensors should be easy enough to build. This game does need a lot more room than a regular dancefloor, since (especially when the effects become aggressive) the players may be running around.
