Tower Defense meets Payload. Take the shopping cart to the endzone with a minimum of objects in it.

Preparation

Have one or more shopping carts at the start position. Ideally these carts will be weighed down or otherwise difficult to move, but the slowdown can be effected by having an organizer push each cart at a measured pace.

Set three or four checkpoints for the cart to pass through, or a path in chalk for it to follow.

Divide players in teams: Team Cart should have one driver (if an organizer isn't filling the spot) and one to four defenders per cart, and everyone else goes to Team Defense. The cart defenders get a bat or racket each.

Allow Team Defense to distribute the boxes of balls around the cart's path (preferably on higher positions) before the game proper starts.

Instructions for Team Cart

You must get the cart to each checkpoint or follow the path to the finish.

Only the driver can touch the cart. You cannot remove items from the cart once they're inside.

Instructions for Team Defense

You must get as many items as possible into the cart. You are not allowed to go within 3 meters or so of the cart.

You're not allowed to move the ammo boxes after the game has started. You are allowed to acquire missed items and try to reuse them.

Scoring

The Defense team wins if there's a cart with more items than members in Team Defense (verify if this is acceptable). If there's more than one cart, the cart with the least items in it wins.
