From Ludocity
The Soho Stag Hunt, played as the finale of the Soho Project ARG, 2007.

Ludocity is a collection of pervasive games, street games and new sports - forms of play that interact with the environment in which they take place, spilling out into parks and city streets.

Some of the games on Ludocity overlap with theatre, painting, dance, and other art forms. Some of them use balloons, lumps of coal, huge sheets of paper, mp3 players, elaborate costumes, and short-range radio broadcasts. All of them have been released under a creative commons licence, giving everyone permission to run that game for free, wherever and whenever they like.

Play a game

If you're looking for a game to pick up and play with friends, or to run at a gaming event, take your pick from our playable games list, all of which have been run successfully before.

If you find a game you like, you're free to run it with whatever modifications you like - the only requirements of the creative commons licence are that you credit the game's inventor (by whatever name is given on the game page), and that you don't make any money from it (if you want to run the game as part of a paid event, you'll need to check with the game's creator first).

If you want to explore works in progress, or maybe help a designer out by playtesting a game that hasn't been run yet, take a look through the full list of games.

Attend a gaming event

The game calendar has a list of all the pervasive gaming events that we've heard about. If you'd like to try and arrange a game of something in your city (or if you're planning to play something with friends and wouldn't mind some extra people turning up), add it to the calendar and see if anyone bites.

If you're interested in running your own gaming evening, we've got a guide to running one.

Make your own game

If you've got a game you'd like to submit to the site - either an old one that you've played a lot, or a new one that you're working on - take a look at Help:Creating a game to find out what to do, and what help you can get with it.
