Looks like a good background game for a bigger event, without all the gung-ho action of HvZ. The winner of a zombie/hunter fight being the person who played the card "first" seems like it's going to provoke a lot of arguments, though, when the game gets intense enough for people to be on their guard. Is it worth having a tiny combat mechanic to clear that up? Hunters get a range of different weapon cards with number values from 1 to 3, zombies just have 1-point "bite" cards, and zombies need to show a higher-scoring hand to defeat a hunter?
Good point, I was considering a stone-paper-scissors mechanic for combat along the same lines. Each hunter will have so many bullet cards with which to hunt zombies. Each one grants a game of stone-paper-scissors against their target. If they win, the zombie is defeated, if they lose and they don't have any more bullets, the zombie bites them. That way players may want to keep at least one bullet on themselves in case a zombie finds them and hunters with more ammo can give players who have run out spare bullets.
