Player Briefing

This game can be played as a free-for-all or a team game. The game is bounded within 2 city blocks, and can be designated by the players. This gives a variety of hiding areas and range of way to maneuver around. Players are not required to just travel within the confines of the sidewalk but are encouraged to explore the environment by leaping, jumping, climbing, and crawling.

Before the game starts, each player is to blow up 3 balloons and attach a string with a hook attached to each of the balloons. The balloons are then hooked to the player’s belt or a string tied around the player’s waist.

Gameplay

The game should start with players' backs facing each other and countdown from 10 to 0. At this point, people start to run. Each person also wears a timer. There a 30 second window which no one can be hurt, the timer should be used to countdown. The timer is also used, when a balloon is popped, to give the person that has lost a balloon a chance to escape with his/her remaining balloons. The objective of the game is to be the last man or team standing. To achieve that, the player is to pop other player’s balloons or remove balloons from player's belts via the hooks. Timeout can be used a safe word if there is a dangerous situation while playing.

Balloons may be popped with hands, throwing soft objects, or the can be removed from the person's body. Sharp objects are discouraged as they might harm players, and others not playing the game.

There can be a time limit, to be chosen by the players. The player with the most balloons is the winner. In the event of a tie, sudden death may occur. The remaining players are given 5 minutes to pop the rest of the balloons.

In team play, players on the same team can use walkie talkies to work together and locate or hide from the other team.
